March is Red Campaign

For the last three months, Reel-to-Real has teamed with the American Red Cross to help countries all across the world that have been affected by disasters. Our "March is Red" Campaign will highlight throughout the month of March what the American Red Cross is about and how Reel-to-Real continues to provide our support. Here is how we have been able to assist the American Red Cross help thousands of people:

Together in New Zealand, the American Red Cross and we at Reel-to-Real have increased emergency aid to Fiji after Cyclone Winston battered through, we have helped welcome Syrian families into Wellington, and we continue to support Cantabrians five years after the devastating earthquakes in Canterbury.

Also together in Dominica, we have maximized efforts to raise the necessary funds to assist the 3,000 families that were affected by Tropical Storm Erika, as well as invested more into making the mobile apps easily accessible regarding information about disaster knowledge, first aid techniques, and donating to support the Red Cross.

The American Red Cross is made up of the most unselfish, caring, and brave men and women that we have ever seen. We are more than happy to help support them as much as possible and rise to the call whenever disasters strike.

One man who has risen to the call every time is one of our main tour guides for the Lord of the Rings adventure in New Zealand and his name is Lucas Milich, or as those that know him call him "Lu-Man". Any chance that Lucas has to help families of disaster through the Red Cross, or even on his own, he immediately springs to action. Lucas does this though with the most unselfish drive because at home he and his amazing wife, Kristy, are doing all they can to help their beautiful seven year-old daughter, Faith, in her battle with Leukemia. Please check out our Facebook here to learn more about Lucas's story.

We are doing all that we can to help the American Red Cross in their efforts to aide families and people affected by disaster all around the world, but if you would like to learn more about the American Red Cross or donate to show your support we would really like to encourage you to visit their website: http://www.redcross.org/

Anything can truly go a long way in this ongoing effort. Thank you!

Reel-to-Real Adventures is proud to announce that we have come together with Hans-On Music Lounge to create musical experiences for everyone on all adventures in 2016. If you were able to meet Don Hanson and the others from Hans-On, who made the trip to our "Press Play" event on Saturday, you'll know that these talented men and women are blessed with having an amazing way of teaching people how to play instruments like guitar, banjo, and mandolin.

Whether it be learning how to play Pippen's Song on the Lord of the Rings adventure, the Harry Potter theme song on the Harry Potter adventure, or even an epic triumph of battle on the Game of Thrones adventure, each and every person will surely be able to take a musical feeling from the movies back home with them. Partnering with Hans-On Music Lounge is going to help amplify the experience for everyone who comes along on a Reel-to-Real adventure. We're excited for this new collaboration and can't wait to hear how much our adventurers enjoy it as well!

Make sure to check out our Facebook page for a recap of the "Press Play" event that took place over the weekend and follow us on Twitter for news and updates from Reel-to-Real in 2016.

We have established five more film location adventures and will be announcing those at the "Press Play" Extravaganza on February 20, which this year will be taking place at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California.

The event will open it's doors at 12:00pm (noon) with guest speakers throughout the day and night talking about the adventures that they are a part of, prize drawings with a few opportunities of free adventures, a performance by the North Hollywood High School Band, Meet & Greet opportunities, a few words from Reel-to-Real's CEO and Founder Tyson Donahue, and also a special announcement from a secret guest speaker capping off the night.
